Reducing income inequality a top priority for 2021

When leaders are earning hundreds of times more than their workers, especially during a global crisis, and confidently lining their pockets with government subsidies as they do it, something is profoundly wrong. We should be pushing for bold policy that promotes equity and well-being for any company’s lowest-paid workers, and most importantly, that can’t be exploited by CEOs.

Pandemic has exposed the rifts in our social fabric

The pandemic will end, but structural inequities – ones that ensure that those who are most well off are the best protected – will not, unless we insist on correcting a long-standing pattern of social wrongs. If anything good is to come out of a pandemic that shook the world, surely it must be our collective will to seize this opportunity and take stock so that we can move towards a more just society.

IQ level changes over the years: study

a new study suggests that IQ levels may actually change over time – rising in some and falling in others… It’s possible the change in scores is due to some kids being early or late bloomers… But it is also possible that education played a role in altering IQ… “We have to be careful not to write off poorer performers at an early stage when, in fact, their IQ may improve significantly given a few more years.”
