Because no one else is doing it, Liberal MP Gerard Kennedy and his staff of four are attempting to track the $12 billion in new infrastructure funding in the government’s January budget.

A generation’s raw deal
TheGlobeandMail.com – Opinion/Editorial – A generation’s raw deal
Aug. 10, 2009.
As analysts slice the numbers to determine the recession’s winners and losers, one often forgotten demographic, with modest aspirations, is starting to stand out. Time to rethink guest worker program
TheStar.com – Opinion – Time to rethink guest worker program
August 05, 2009. Carol Goar
When Canada decided to allow employers facing acute labour shortages to hire temporary foreign workers, seven years ago, no one foresaw where it would lead.

TheStar.com – Opinion – Don’t blame unions for cities’ woes
August 05, 2009. Paul Moist, CUPE NATIONAL PRESIDENT
Two very high-profile and lengthy municipal strikes ended recently.
