As you state, a long-term affordable housing strategy is desperately needed, and low-income households look forward to the day provincial Housing Minister Jim Watson rolls out the welcome mat.

Ontario’s tenants are grateful for the housing dollars in the budget, but the hundreds of thousands who pay more than 30 per cent of their income on rent need more than short-term measures to keep their vision of stable and affordable housing in sight.
